On Monday, February 18, 2013 at 8:46am, the department was dispatched to assist Glade Creek Fire Department with a working barn fire at 619 Pine Brook Road in Ennice, NC. Upon Glade Creek fire officers arrival, they reported a working structure fire with heavy smoke showing. Engine 2’s crew assisted Glade Creek firefighters at the scene and Tanker 10 stood-by. The dairy barn belonging to Ronald and Jeanette Anders sustained heavy damage. Sparta and Cherry Lane Fire Departments and Alleghany Co. Rescue also assisted at the scene.
