On Monday, August 3, 2015, at 5:26pm, Galax Fire was dispatched to Vaughan-Bassett for a fire in the finishing room. Upon arrival, workers had extinguished the fire, but there was still light smoke in the finishing room. Firefighters checked the plant and the roof for possible extension. Galax-Grayson EMS stood-by at the scene. Galax Fire returned to the station at 6:20pm.
