On Friday morning, February 6, 2015, after being cancelled twice by Skull Camp Fire (Surry Co, NC), the fire department was dispatched for a vehicle accident at Waddell Nursing Home (202 Painter Street). A gold Subaru Forester accidentally crashed into the older entrance of Waddell Nursing Home. The department was cancelled upon arrival. No injuries were reported. The entrance walkway sustained minor damage. Galax Grayson EMS assisted at the scene, and the Galax Police Department is investigating the accident.
