Shortly before 1pm, on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, a two vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Pipers Gap Road and Mallory Road. Galax Fire was dispatched for possible entrapment, upon arrival, all patients were free from the vehicles. A white Kia Spectra turned off of Mallory Road onto Pipers Gap, and was hit by a oncoming blue Ford Ranger. One subject was transported by Pipers Gap Rescue to Twin County Regional Hospital. The Virginia State Police are investigating the accident. Carroll Co Sheriff’s Officer also assisted at the scene.
