A Grayson County woman was fatally injured in a single vehicle accident on Monday, June 11th at approximately 3:45pm. The fire department was dispatched for possible entrapment with fire. Upon arrival the victim had already been removed from the vehicle by citizens. The vehicle clipped a power pole, causing outage in the area for several hours. Traffic was diverted for several hours for AEP to repair the pole damage. Galax Grayson EMS transported the victim to Twin County Regional Hospital. The Virginia State Police investigated the accident, and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic.
