Monday, February 23, 2015, shortly after 5pm, the Galax Fire Department responded to a working structure fire in the Fairview community at 19 Foggy Top Lane. Upon arrival, Captain Mike Ayers reported a single story brick ranch with smoke showing and visible fire in the living room area. Engine 2 pulled two attack lines, and quickly extinguished the blaze. The house suffered significant damage. No injuries were reported. The Grayson Co Sheriff’s office is investigating the fire due to its suspicious nature. AEP assisted at the scene.
